Getting Started

What's the difference between RV insurance and my regular auto policy?

A standard auto policy is built around a car or truck you drive daily. RV insurance is built for a vehicle you may use seasonally, live in part- or full-time, and fill with personal belongings and attached structures — none of which a typical auto policy is designed to cover.

Do I need RV insurance if my RV is paid off?

Yes. Lenders require coverage while you have a loan, but even a paid-off RV carries real liability and replacement-cost risk. Without insurance, you'd be paying out of pocket for any accident, theft, or weather damage.

How fast can I get proof of insurance for a dealership pickup?

Often the same day. Once your policy is bound, we can email a certificate of insurance quickly so it doesn't hold up your delivery.

Coverage Details

What is full-timer RV insurance?

It's a policy designed for RV owners who live in their RV as a primary residence rather than using it occasionally. It typically includes higher liability and personal belongings limits, similar to a homeowners policy.

Will my RV insurance cover belongings inside the RV?

Personal effects coverage — for electronics, clothing, and gear inside your RV — is usually available as part of your policy or as an add-on. Limits vary, so it's worth confirming what's included.

Does RV insurance cover roadside breakdowns?

Many RV policies include or offer roadside assistance built for RV-sized vehicles — towing a 35-foot motorhome is a different job than towing a sedan, and coverage should reflect that.

Storage & Special Situations

What is replacement cost coverage, and why does it matter?

Replacement cost coverage pays to replace your RV with a new or comparable current model after a total loss. Actual cash value coverage instead pays the depreciated value — often significantly less.

Can I insure a DIY camper van conversion?

Yes. We'll typically ask for photos and a rough valuation of the build (cabinetry, electrical, solar, bed platform) so the coverage reflects what you've actually invested.

Is my RV covered while it's in storage?

Comprehensive coverage (theft, fire, weather) generally continues while your RV is in storage, even though collision coverage doesn't apply since the RV isn't in motion.

Working With EVN

Can I bundle my RV, auto, and home insurance?

Yes — bundling is one of the most common ways our clients save. We review all your policies together, so nothing overlaps and you get the full multi-policy discount available.

Is EVN Insurance Group tied to one insurance company?

No. We're an independent agency, which means we compare quotes across 30+ A-rated carriers and recommend whichever combination actually fits you best.

How do I file a claim?

Contact your EVN agent directly and we'll walk you through the process with your carrier, so you're not navigating it alone.
